Disenrollment

Not completely, but sort of. This site doesnt work for me anymore :( I can't post pics anymore, most people can't post messages, and that is kinda the point right? I will get on here spiratically to blog about this and that but for the most part I am going to opt out for a while. At least until I get home. So in case anyone is wondering where I am and if I am slacking, I am not. I have created a MySpace to add pics and keep in touch. So if anyone cares it is
Its fun! I know most of you already have a space so gimmie your sites and I will visit them often! Thanks for your understanding in the situation, my condolances, Andrea Haynes

So So Sad

Jay left today :( He's going to be gone for 4 1/2 months. I am soooo sad :( :( :(
I'll be okay though, done it before, I'll do it again. I hate it thopugh- it doesn't get any better with time. Can you believe that J has deployed 2X's while Your husband has been gone Shannon? You are just about up too. I am so happy for you though. It's great that you wont have to deal anymore.
He's going to be in SD for about 2 weeks before he leaves for his place of deployment (its a secret, can't tell you!) so that is the worst part so far. He'll be in our house and I will be here. It's how it had to be done though- I know this, I should get over it...
We went to Henson Robbinson Zoo before he left on his bus. It was nice, the animals were funny. There was this monkey that kept running around the cage with his hands in the air from window to window like a crazy person. He looked like he should be yelling "i am not an animal! You can't keep me cagged up like this!!" I am going to try to post some pics for everyone to see. They are so cute.
We also had a campfire here at the house the day before J left. We roasted S'mores for everyone. I have pics from that too. That was so fun! Ciara had an absolute blast!! Speaking of Ciara, shes doing okay, she will be alright because she's got Nana on her side- but she didn't want daddy to go. She kept telling him she wanted to get on the bus with him. So sad...
So I am going to try and enjoy my time here, even though J is not here with me. Fill my time with things to do. I hope it goes by quickly.
Talk to you all soon!

I'm Home!

I am home! Yeah! The trip wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected, really it wasn't- Hunter slept a good amount of the time. Ciara was good just beacuse she knew where we were going, and soooo excited!! The trip lasted from 8 pm to 2 pm. Pretty long! We made it safely through a pretty bad storm, kinda rough, but we made it. Now we are just relaxing. Exhausted.
We played on the Banzi Slide yesterday, that was fun! I even went down a few times! I have video of it. No pics. I am not even sure how this picture thing is going to work. I hope the pics upload onto Moms computer okay. We'll see. I am going to post pics as soon as I get a few, for my friends back home in SD. Everyone that normally reads my blogs are here in IL and they can see the babies whenever they'd like now! Yeah! Exept for Shannon, I will post pics for you too!
Talk to you all soon!

Dahl Arts Center

Today J, Ciara, Hunter, my friend Anna, and her son Austin went to the Dahl Arts Center for the 1st Annual Pirates Convention. Soooo much fun! Ciara was way into it, shouting "Shiver me timbers" and "Aaar Matey" to onlookers and playing "swords" with the other children there. They had a play that lasted about an hour about pirates, that was way cute! There was singing and dancing- there was some talent there. Some of the actors were children of maybe 6. One of the boys I saw after the show and I told him he was a good actor and that maybe he would be on TV someday. He just smiled and said, "I have already been on TV!" I was like "whoa! Nevermind then!" Ciara and Daddy made a boat out of popsicle sticks that fell apart in a matter of moments, but it was fun non-the-less. I posted pics, they came out pretty cute.
I had my garage sale yesterday as well- That went alright. I opened at 6 am, that was a little rich for my blood. People showed up right away though, and I sold a ton of stuff. Mostly toys, but some clothes and a stroller too. I made about 100 dollars that J and I proceeded to spend all weekend.
After the sale I went on a scavenger hunt for my friend Jory's going away. ALL MY FRIENDS ARE MOVING! I hate this place, it feels pointless to even establish a friendship anymore. Anyways, It was so much fun! We went to the cemetary and etched graves for points. Like "oldest grave" and "died Oct 31st" We actually found everything. We also had to pump someone else's gas and get a stranger to try on oversized clothing and pose with you. We found a rambunctious toddler to help us with that one. I posted some pics for you all to see under Dahl Arts Center. It was a blast though, I encourage anyone and everyone to try it!
I will be home in a week!!! For real this time. I am so excited!

What is in your couch?

Kinda funny- Last night my husband got motivated to see exactly what was in our couch. I guess he had dropped something in there, or figured that he had and went looking for some lost treasure. Here's a list of what he found:
Our lost car key (1 of only 2), 2 Fossil watches, my mom's lost cell phone (battery not dead after like 1 1/2 years), a full book of 37 cent stamps, his military ID, one spoon, 7 pens, Jays dog tags, 2 tooth brushes (ciaras), a triangle stick, 1 lighter, a puzzel piece, a comb, 2 fingernail clippers, 2 barbie shoes, some candy, a memory card for our digital camera, crayons, and a marble.
Estimated value: 300 dollars.
Seriously- go treasure hunting in your couch, see what you'll find! It's amazing the things that you loose and just figure that they are gone forever. Anyways, thought that was kinda funny!

Independence Day

We went and saw fireworks tonight- good show! We saw them from a very large hill next to the Sioux Park where they were displayed, so we had a front row view. Ciara loooooved them! I am so happy she did. We have celebrated every year, but this is the first that she has stayed up late enough to watch them. Hunter fell asleep right after we got there, thank god! He cried all the way to town! This trip is going to be hell with him. I hate to say it, he is my baby and I love him dearly, but Godamn! He makes drives rough. Jays always, "How are we going to do this trip? He's going to cry the whole way!" I don't know what to say! "Yes, Yes he is J, and the more you say it, the more true it will be. And when he cries the whole way, you can sit there all smug and say 'I told you so' if you'd like." I don't know what will make it better. I guess we could strap him to the top of the car.... that could work.
I remember fireworks being so much cooler when i was a kid. So big and beautiful and mysterious. the 4th would always be alittle emotional with the fireworks and America the Beautiful playing in the backgroud. How awesome it would be to be a child again, when everything was new and exciting and beautiful. You were so small and those fireworks were so very big. I would like to experience everything over again. Have everything be new. Then maybe you could have seen the fireworks in my eyes the way I saw them in Ciaras. Well I guess I do get to see everything new again, I did get to see the fireworks in her eyes. Ahhh... "things are getting better, yes, getting better all the time"

Tell me how your fourth weekend is going!
